The White Swan
This trade token, worth a farthing, was issued at the White Swan tavern, in Golden Lane.
Boyne & Williamson (1889) reference London number 1174; Obv inscription: AT.THE.WHITE.SWAN (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = A swan (in field); Rev inscription: IN.GOLDEN.LANE (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = W.A.T. (triad of initials in Roman capitals, in field).
Golden Lane is in Cripplegate Ward, in the City of London.
