The Coffee House
Andrew Vincent issued this trade token, worth a penny, for his business, a coffee shop in Friday Street.
Boyne & Williamson (1889) reference London number 1134; Obv inscription: ANDREW. VINCENT. YE. COFFEE (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = A hand pouring from a coffee-pot (in field); Rev inscription: HOVSE. IN. FRYDAY. STREET.71 (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = 1D (in field, in Roman capitals).
There are two similar tokens in the museum collection, NN17494 and NN17585.
