Thomas Tisbery, an oilman (a person who sells oil), issued this trade token, worth a farthing, for his business in Fleet Street.
Boyne & Williamson (1889) reference London number 1099; Obv inscription: THOMAS.TISBVRY.OLE (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = T.T in monogram (in field); Rev inscription: MAN.IN.FLET.STREETE (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = 1653 (in field).
