John Secol issued this trade token, worth a farthing, for his business at St Dunstans Church , in Fleet Street.
Boyne & Williamson (1889) reference London number 1096. Obv inscription: IOHN.SECOL.AT.S.DVNSTANS (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = I.P.S. (triad of initials in Roman capitals, in field); Rev inscription: CHVRCH.FLEET.STREETE (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = I.P.S. (triad of initials in Roman capitals, in field).
John Secol was licensed victualler between 1649 and 150, he may have been deceased by 1651, not being recorded as a victualler in that year, see J. H.
