The Boar's Head
William Healey issued this trade token, worth a half penny, for his business at the sign of the Boar's Head, in Fleet Street.
Boyne & Williamson (1889) reference London number 1081. Obv inscription: WILLIAM.HEALEY.AT.THE (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = A boar's head (in field); Rev inscription: IN.FLEET.STREET.1668 (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = HIS / HALFE / PENNY / W.M.H. (in four lines of Roman capitals with triad of initials as bottom, in field).
