The White Cross Tavern
This trade token, worth a farthing, was issued at the White Cross tavern in Fetter Lane.
Boyne & Williamson (1889) reference London number 1007A; Obv inscription: THE.WHITCROS.TAVERN (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = A cross (in field); Rev inscription: IN.FETTER.LANE (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = T.R.E. (triad of initials, in Roman capitals, in field).
