The Woolpack
Francis Tyler, an oilman (a person who sells oil), issued this trade token, worth a half penny, for his business in Fenchurch Street.
Boyne & Williamson (1889) reference London number 998; Obv inscription: FRANCIS.TYLER.IN.FAN (around field, in Roman capitals, in field) Device = HIS / HALF / PENY (in three lines of Roman capitals, in field); Rev inscription: CHVRCH.STREET.OYLMAN (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = A woolpack, on it 'F' (in field).
