The Two Crossed Keys
Thomas Green issued this trade token, worth a half penny, for his business at the Crossed Keys in Crutched Friars.
Boyne & Williamson (1889) reference London number 810; Obv inscription: THO.GREENE.AT.THE (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = Two keys crossed (in field); Rev inscription: IN.CRVCHED.FRYERS.67 (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = HIS / HALFE / PENNY / T.I.G. (in four lines of Roman capitals with triad of initials as bottom, in field).
