The Seven Stars
This trade token, worth a farthing, was issued at the Seven Stars tavern in Cornhill, Cornhill Ward, City of London.
Boyne & Williamson (1889) reference London number 730; Obv inscription: AT.THE.SEVEN.STARS (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = Seven stars (in field); Rev inscription: IN.CORN.HILL.1648 (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = M.I.W. (triad of initials in Roman capitals, in field).
