Boyne & Williamson (1889) reference London number 470; Obv inscription: IOHN.IACKSON (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = The Drapers' arms (in field); Rev inscription: IN.CAREY.LANE (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = I.M.I. (triad of initials in Roman capitals, in field).

10901. The inclusion of a middle initial on this token suggests John Jackson was married when he issued this token, but may not have been when he issued the earlier token, NN16615 in the museum collection, a middle initial commonly representing that of a wife. The arms of the Worshipful Company of Drapers are: Azure three clouds with sunbeams issuing proper crowned with imperial crowns (J. Bromley, The Armorial Bearings of the Guilds of London: a record of the heraldry of the surviving companies with historical notes; with...[illustrations] by Heather Child...(London, 1960).
