The Green Dragon
This trade token, worth a farthing, was issued at the sign of the Green Dragon, in Bow Lane, Cheapside.
Boyne & Williamson (1889) reference London number 381; Obv inscription: AT.THE.GREENE.DRAGON (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = A dragon (in field); Rev inscription: IN.BOWE.LANE (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = I.C.K. (triad of initials in Roman capitals, in field).
