The Three Marriners
This trade token, worth a farthing, was issued at the 3 Mariners tavern in Boss Alley (area by Trig Lane off Upper Thames Street).
Boyne & Williamson (1889) reference London number 370; Obv inscription: AT.THE.3.MARRINRS (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = Three sailors (in field); Rev inscription: IN.BOSS.ALLEY.1653 (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = W.C.R. (triad of initials in Roman capitals, in field).
