Boyne & Williamson (1889) reference London number 214; Obv inscription: AT.THE.SHIP.IN (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = A ship (in field); Rev inscription: BVRCHEN.LANE (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = E.A.D. (triad of initials in Roman capitals, in field).
Birchin Lane is in Cornhill Ward and Langbourn Ward, in the City of London.
