William Wickins issued this trade token, worth a farthing, for his business in Billiter Lane (now Billiter Street).
Boyne & Williamson (1889) reference London number 212; Obv inscription: WILLIAM / WICKINS / 1657 (in three lines of Roman capitals, in field); Rev inscription: IN.BILETR.LANE (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = A man dipping candles (in field).
