The Holy Lamb
This trade token, worth a farthing, was issued for the Holy Lamb inn in Browns Alley, Billiter Lane (now Billiter Street).
Boyne & Williamson (1886) reference London number 210; Obv inscription: BROVNS.ALLY.IN (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = The holy lamb with the nimbus (in field); Rev inscription: BILLETER.LANE.1648 (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = W.K.L. (triad of initials in Roman capitals, in field).
Billiter Lane, now Billiter Street, is in Aldgate Ward, in the City of London.
