The Lobster
This trade token, worth a farthing, was issued for a business, at the sign of the Lobster, in Bearbinder Lane (now Manor House Place).
Boyne & Williamson (1889) reference London number 151; Obv inscription: AT.THE.LOBSTER.IN (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = T.H (in field, in Roman capitals); Rev inscription: BEAREBINDER.LANE (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = A lobster (in field).
