The White Horse
This trade token, worth a farthing, was issued at the White Horse tavern in Basing Lane (now part of Cannon Street).
Boyne & Williamson (1889) reference London number 148; Obv inscription: AT.THE.WHIT.HORS (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = A horse galloping (in field); Rev inscription: IN.BASEN.LANE.1652 (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = I.G (in field, in Roman capitals).
