The Seven Stars
This trade token, worth a farthing, was issued for the Seven Stars tavern in Basing Lane (now part of Cannon Street).
Boyne & Williamson (1889) reference London number 141; Obv inscription: AT.THE.SEAVEN.STARES (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = Seven stars (in field); Rev inscription: IN.BASIN.LANE.1650 (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = A.P.A. (triad of initials in Roman capitals, in field).
