The Turk's Head
Richard Buckland issued this trade token, worth a penny, for his premises, a coffee house in Basinghall Street.
Boyne & Williamson (1889) reference London number 135; Obv inscription: Richard / Buckland. in / Basinghall / Street (in four lines of cursive script, in field); Rev device = A Turk seated smoking, a man standing presenting him a cup (in field).
