The Sun
This trade token, worth a farthing, was issued by Thomas Stedman for his business at the Sun tavern in Addle Hill.
Boyne & Williamson (1889) reference London number 10; Obv inscription: THOMAS.STEDMAN (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = The sun in splendour (in field); Rev inscription: ON.ADDLE.HILL.1656 (around field, in Roman capitals) Device = T.D.S. (triad of initials in Roman capitals, in field).
