One disc from a two disc Colchester Dutch community cloth seal. Disc one is stamped with an ornate shield bearing a cross raguly and three coronets, around the edge is a rope annulus containing the inscription DVYT … CESTER ... 1571. The reverse has a cloth imprint. This seal has a double rivet possibly showing traces of the scaly body of a griffin, which is often found on these seals.
