Reconstructed samian ware bowl, form Dragendorff 29, stamp: OF PASSEN inside base, the mark of the potter Passienus of La Graufesenque, South Gaul. It is decorated with a continuous scroll above a lower frieze containing winged cupids and possibly lions hunting stags. Samian ware is high-quality Roman tableware made in Gaul (modern-day France) and exported throughout the empire.
