Port & River — 1910-1940
Pattern, pattern for jack rest
A wooden pattern for casting a metal a jack rest. The racking on the side of the block indicates that this object was raised using a ratchet, and the cupped top suggests it was intended to support a boom or spar on a vessel. From the workshop of Davey & Co., ship chandlers, West India Dock Road, East London.
