A silver denarius coin of the Roman Republic. The coin depicts (the possibly fictional) Numa Pompilius, King of Rome, 715-673 BC. This coin was minted under the authority of the moneyer, Cn. Calpurnius Piso, in Spain, 49 BC.
Obv: Diademed head of Numa Pompilius, facing right. Obv inscription: NVMA [CN PISO PRO Q]. Rev: A ships prow, pointing right. Rev inscription: MAGN PRO COS.
