Coin, nummus AE3
A copper alloy nummus of Emperor Constantine I, ruler of the Roman Empire, AD 306-337. The back of the coin depicts Victoria, the Roman goddess of victory. This coin was minted in Londinium (modern day London), AD 319.
Obv: Cuirassed and helmeted bust of Constantine I, facing right. Obv inscription: IMP CONSTANTINVS MAX AVG. Rev: Two Victories, standing face to face, holding a shield inscribed VOT / PR on a column. Rev inscription: VICTORIAE LAETAE PRINC PERP, PLN in exergue.
