Coin, radiate
A copper alloy radiate coin of Emperor Tetricus I, ruler of the Romano-Gallic Empire, AD 271-274. The back of the coin depicts Hilaritas, the female personification of rejoicing. This coin was minted in the Gallic Empire, unidentified mint I, AD 271-274.
Obv: Draped, cuirassed and radiate bust of Tetricus I, facing right. Obv inscription: IMP TETRICVS P F AVG. Rev: Hilaritas, standing left, holding a palm in her right hand and a cornucopia in the left. Rev inscription: HILARITAS [AVGG].
