Knife
Iron knife with bone handle, complete. The back of the blade follows the line of the two-piece bone handle, then falls in a concave curve to the tip; the worn cutting edge has a sinuous S curve; handle plates, each D-shaped in section are riveted to the plate tang, trace of a broken suspension loop at the end. One side of the blade is decorated with a series of semi-circles running along the edge of the back; at least 12 are visible. Each bone handle plate has finely cut lattice at each end, transverse lines flanking the rivets and a zone of cross-hatching in the centre, with lines of four ring and dot motifs along each edge, which may have been inlaid.
