Earring
Earring from a demi-parure set of perles de coques (freshwater pearls) backed with mother-of-pearl in gilt metal collets. The necklace consists of seventeen shells graduated in size towards the centre and supports a bow set with facetted green pastes and seed pearls. The earrings are en suite. Visual evidence suggests that this type of pearl jewellery had a long period of popularity.
