An incomplete Iron Age copper alloy pin, dating 500-200 BC. The pin is formed of a disc shaped head on top of a circular sectioned shank that tapers to the point. There is a ridge running around the edge of the head with a decorative rib above and below. On top of the head is a recess in which a decorative material would have been placed, either enamel or coral, though it is no longer present. In the centre of the recess is a peak that would have helped hold the enamel or coral in place. The object has a dark-mid brown patination and is bent at about 45 degrees halfway along the shank.
