St George and the Dragon plaquette
A cast uniface plaquette in manganese glass depicting Saint George and the Dragon within a ‘wheat-sheaf’ border. St George, mounted on a prancing charger, is shown in the act of delivering the coup de grace to the dragon which lies wounded among the strewn bones of its victims. Part of the Cheapside Hoard.
