Handle
Bone handle formed from a longitudinal slice section of bovine, horse or red deer long bone in two sections; a hollow cylinder open at one end with screw threads at either end. A small, damaged turned cap fits over the open end of the cylinder. The other cap is missing. The cylinder has seven facets each with a different number of circular depressions for decorative effect. The file marks show clearly on the surfaces. There are two bands of circumferential grooves at either end. There is a small sliver of circumferential grooves of bone inside the cylinder.
