Bone, pinner's bone
Pinner's bone. Bovine metacarpal, left-hand, proximal end. The shaft towards the distal end has five facets, with six deep grooves cut into the anterior, medial and lateral surfaces on the longitudinal axis by a saw. There are file marks on every side. The holes at the proximal and distal ends have been enlarged.
