Bone, pinner's bone
Pinner's bone. Horse metacarpal, fused. Distal end of lateral/medial side sawn off revealing the cancellous structure of bone. There are four facets at the proximal end of the shaft with thirteen deep grooves cut into the longitudinal axis by a saw. There are file marks on every side. Well used. There is an enlarged hole at the proximal end.
