Bone, pinner's bone
Pinner's bone. Bovine metarsal, right side, fused. Lateral and medial surfaces sawn off, at the distal end, revealing cancellous structure of the bone. There are four facets at the proximal end of the shaft, with five deep grooves cut into the longitudinal axis. File marks. Small foramen and an enlarged hole at the proximal end.
