Bone, pinner's bone
Pinner's bone. Bovine metatersal, right side, fused. Lateral and medial sides of the distal, articular end shaved off. Four flat facets have been cut into the proximal end of the shaft, with eight grooves in the longitudinal axis made by a saw. File marks. There is a large foreamen and an enlarged hole at the proximal end of the bone. Slight traces of copper salt staining.
