Candlestick
This type of saucer candlestick is also called a 'chamber stick' - the kind used to carry around the house at night. It has a saucer to catch the wax drips from the candle. Many other examples also have a small handle. It was made in the Surrey-Hampshire border region.
It seems as if someone has had an accident with this one, as it has been burned - the surface is covered in soot and the glaze has been damaged in the heat. It could even have been damaged during the Great Fire itself. Archaeologists excavating mid-17th century sites in London often find a layer of burnt material from the fire, including household belongings that people did not manage to save.
