Variant trefid or split end spoon
A pewter spoon with an elliptical shaped bowl with long rat's tail, flat rectangular sectioned stem widening to nearly double the width terminating in a variant form of trefid or split end; almost a 'dog-nose'. The end of the stem has floral scroll ornament terminating in a crown. The bowl has a maker's mark with flower flanked by the letters 'C' and 'T' and below the numbers '7' and '5' for the year 1675, in a lozenge.
