Post-Medieval — Mid 17th century
Puritan spoon
A silver spoon with oval bowl, flattened stem which increases in width from the bowl to the tip, with 'Puritan type' straight-edged terminal with vertical nicks or notches on the upper face. There is a crowned leopard's head hallmark in the bowl and on the back of the stem three indistinct marks; one with the lion passant, another with the date letter (possibly for 1651).
