Puritan spoon
A latten spoon of 'puritan' type with oval (regular ellipse) bowl, flattened stem which increases in width from the bowl to the tip; the end straight with a vertical nicks or notches on the upper face. There is an indistinct maker's mark in the bowl and at the end of the stem a triad of ownership initials (each in a 'baroque'-shaped shield) of 'E' over 'M' and 'E'.
