Puritan spoon
A latten spoon of 'puritan' type with oval (regular ellipse) bowl, flattened stem which increases in width from the bowl to the tip; the end straight with a vertical nicks or notches on the upper face. There is a maker's mark in the bowl of three spoons flanked by the letters 'I' and 'R' within a beaded circle.
