Stud, apron stud
A copper-alloy flat-headed stud with possible niello still in situ. The stud is decorated with a stamped cross-quarter motif. The design comprises four petals with serrated outlines, each containing six or seven internal dots. Between the petals are the traces of four straight barbed lines, crossed at right angles. There are the remains of a shank, the point of which has been cut off, to the rear. There are also two raised, concentric, circles on the underside.
