Create a placard for Notting Hill Carnival to celebrate history, culture and community in this creative family workshop.
Celebrate 60 years of Notting Hill Carnival by making your own vibrant placard with Caribbean community educators, Black History and Me.
Decorate using colour and personal messages exploring themes of identity and community. Learn about the carnival's roots in community activism and become empowered to take part in its future.
This workshop will encourage young people to contribute to the carnival experience and celebrate Caribbean heritage.
Black History and Me is co-founded by Kayne Kawasaki, UK Black history educator and the activity will be delivered by Educator Francesca Louise.

Our family-friendly cafe is the perfect place to sit down and relax for a bite or tea break. We have lunch boxes for kids, sandwiches, pastries, snacks and a wide selection of hot and cold drinks.
You’ll also find our shop with a curated range of gifts and souvenirs, including posters, prints, toys, books and jewellery.

Prams and buggies are welcome in the museum. We also have a buggy park if you'd prefer to leave it behind.
