Exploring mudlarking treasures
How can objects found on the River Thames' foreshore reveal traces of London’s past?
Mudlarks have been around for hundreds of years, searching the River Thames’ foreshore for fragments of history. Many of these have become part of the museum’s collection – but what can they reveal about London's past?
Join Kate Sumnall, Archaeological Curator at London Museum and former Finds Liaison Officer, for a special talk diving through the mudlarked finds in our collections and their stories.
Expect to see fascinating objects like iconic Bronze Age swords and Tudor toys, that reveal the very human stories of adventure, exploration, love and loss.
