Cornwall Terrace
Cornwall Terrace, named for George IV when Duke of Cornwall, was one of the first developments to be erected in the vicinity of Regent’s Park according to architect John Nash’s plan. In the foreground of the drawing a figure on horseback points out the terrace to his companion with his stick. This is one of several images of the newly completed park and surrounding buildings in Thomas Hosmer Shepherd’s book ‘Metropolitan Improvements’ (1827-30).
