Brewers' Hall
The history of Brewers’ Hall is mirrored somewhat by that of Carpenters Hall, which stands nearby and was also drawn by Thomas Hosmer Shepherd for ‘London in the Nineteenth Century’ (1829-31). The first Hall was in existence by 1403 and lasted until the Great Fire of London. Shepherd’s view is of the second hall which was destroyed by bombing in 1940. The present building was constructed in 1960.
