Paintings, Prints & Drawings — 1830
St Lawrence Jewry
St Lawrence Jewry on Gresham Street was one of the many City churches rebuilt after the Great Fire of London. The view in this wash drawing (engraved for Thomas Hosmer Shepherd’s ‘London in the Nineteenth Century’, 1829-31), was made from the Guildhall Yard. The church is the official church of the Lord Mayor of London.
