Old Bulk Shop, Temple Bar. Exterior view of a fishmonger's shop, 'Short & Son', with 'established in the reign of King Henry VIII' painted on the wall. Signs advertise live eels and pickled salmon. A carriage passes under the Temple Bar and a man carries a placard reading 'Banishment of Aristides, grand historical picture by B R Haydon, Egyptian Hall, Piccadilly'. Published 1851 in Vestiges of Old London.
