Tabard, Chaucer's Inn
Exterior view of 'Tabard, Chaucer's Inn', Southwark. Signed in ink at bottom right. The scene of the meeting in Canterbury Tales. It changed its name to the Talbot Inn in 1676, and in the 19th Century, fell into disrepair and was used as storerooms. It was demolished in 1873.
