Carta dimostrativa delle circoscrizioni militari del regno d'Italia
“A scarce and uncommon 1884 lithograph map of the Kingdom of Italy printed on linen. The map covers all of Italy detailing the country's military situation. A table in the lower left quadrant breaks down Italian military might by region. The cartouche, appearing in the upper right, bears the royal crest of Kingdom of Italy. The map is surrounded by an elaborate red border featuring armorial crests for various Italian regions. More important regions are featured in the corners and centers of the border. These are, from top left: Milan (Milano), Palermo, Torino, Genoa (Genova), Naples (Napoli), Florence (Firenze), Rome (Roma). The map was clearly printed in Italy but bears no imprint. A similar map was issued in 1912 with considerable revision.”
