International Exhibition of 1862
The International Exhibition of 1862 was a world fair which took place in London, capitalising on the success of the earlier Great Exhibition of 1851.This handkerchief depicts the iron and glass building which was designed to house the exhibition, and which sat on the site now occupied by the Natural History Museum, South Kensington. It was probably sold as a souvenir.
